Weather Whiplash for Maryland this week
Temperatures chill back down on Sunday
Colder air starts to blow back into Maryland on Sunday. A few showers are possible, especially along and north of the I-70 corridor. Light and spotty rain may mix with snow and sleet. No wintry accumulation is expected in our immediate area on Sunday.
Afternoon temperatures will be in the 40s on Sunday, with breezy winds.
Early week wintry weather in Maryland
A brief period of cold weather settles into our area on Monday.
We are watching the possibility of some wintery mix of precipitation overnight Monday into Tuesday midday. Right now, the chance of snow appears to spike late Monday evening, before transitioning to a wintry mix then rain on Tuesday.
While this is not looking like a major storm, some slick travel is possible... especially Monday evening through Tuesday morning. More exact timing and accumulation details will be ironed out over the weekend. Be sure to stay with WJZ in the next couple days.
