Summer Programs In City Schools Are Cancelled Monday Due To Heat, AC

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Due to excessive heat conditions and the number of schools without air conditioning, officials have announce that summer programs in Baltimore City Schools are cancelled for Monday, July 20, 2015.

Officials say this refers to all programs in all City Schools buildings, including Extended School Year (ESY) and summer camps.

YouthWorks workers assigned to schools should not report to work. City Schools employees with instructional assignments at schools should also not report, but other staff should report as scheduled.

Schools that offer summer meals for children and youth will be open, but only during regular service hours for breakfast and lunch.
