Students Sheltered At Baltimore Co. School Due To Gas Leak

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)—Students are being sheltered in place at Powhatan Elementary School due to a small gas leak, authorities say.

Baltimore County Police say the gas leak is small and fire officials, along with BGE are investigating.

No injuries were reported.

Police add that parents may pick up their students if they choose, but say there is no need, buses will run on time.

The incident was placed under control just before 2:00 p.m.

Police say BGE will continue their investigation, but students are returning to class.
