Student Found Near Stairs At Frostburg Dies

FROSTBURG, Md. (AP) -- Officials at Frostburg State University in western Maryland say a 23-year-old graduate student from Texas has died after she was found at the bottom of the stairs in a classroom building.

University spokeswoman Liz Medcalf says She-Ra White of Wichita Falls, Texas, reported feeling light headed and having difficulty breathing when she was found by another student in the Guild Center on Tuesday.  She says White later died at a hospital.

Medcalf says the Combined County Criminal Investigation Unit for Allegany County determined that White's death had a medical cause, but an autopsy by the Office of the State Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.

White, a graduate student in counseling psychology, had been a student at FSU since the fall of 2012.
