Steve Davis: Ravens Super Bowl Odds

Bovada put out the odds for the Super Bowl next year. Granted, this will change depending upon what teams do in free agency. The Ravens, despite nearly beating the Patriots, still have a ways to go according to the pundits.

Seattle is the top choice at 5-1.

New England, despite beating the Seahawks are 7-1.

Green Bay is next at 8-1.

After that, it's Denver (that would change if Peyton retired), Dallas, Indianapolis, Philadelphia/San Fran at 20-1, New Orleans and rounding out the top ten, Pittsburgh at 25-1. Wow, Pittsburgh, who we beat, has better odds than the Ravens.

Baltimore is 33-1, along with Arizona and Detroit. I don't get that. But it does tell the story that Vegas is buying just what they did in the playoffs.

The Ravens beat some really bad teams in the regular season and barely made the playoffs. The schedule looks to be much tougher next year, going against the NFC West and AFC West, which each only had one team with a losing record.

The point is taken. The Ravens almost got by New England, but still has some improvements they must make to the roster.
