St. Mary's County Man Pleads Guilty To Child Porn

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- A St. Mary's County man has pleaded guilty to production of child pornography after prosecutors say he hid a camera in a bathroom he shared with a 14-year-old boy.

Ronald Davis Pope, 49, of Mechanicsville entered the plea Monday in federal court in Greenbelt. Prosecutors say if a judge accepts the plea deal, Pope will be sentenced to more than 19 years in prison at sentencing June 3.

According to his plea agreement, Pope lived with a family last year. Prosecutors say Pope secretly recorded the teen in the shower and transferred the videos to his computer and cell phone.
