Steve Melewski of MASN Sports joined Sports Rehab to talk Orioles baseball as Opening Day is 2 weeks away.
As the Orioles continue with Spring Training, one of their players expected to return from injury has had a setback. All-Star catcher Matt Wieters will not be ready for Opening Day after experiencing tendinitis in his surgically repaired elbow. Wieters had not recorded a hit in Grapefruit LEague play but the bigger concern was how his injury react after catching a full game. "It was a tough blow" said Melewski after being asked about the Wieters injury. "The April 17th date seems more likely now as a return date."
