Southwest Flight From Baltimore Receives Threat, Lands Safely

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- A plane has landed safely at Rhode Island's T.F. Green Airport after officials said a threat was made while it was in flight.

Southwest Airlines Flight 4454 was on its way to Warwick, Rhode Island from Baltimore on Monday when airport officials received a threat.

Officials did not specify the nature of the threat.

T.F. Green Airport spokeswoman Patti Goldstein said the plane landed without incident around midnight Tuesday.

The aircraft was parked remotely and passengers disembarked.

Goldstein says the plane was cleared after a thorough search.

The threat is being investigated.
