Skimming Device Found On Credit Union ATM In Columbia

COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) -- Howard County Police say a skimming device was found on an ATM at a credit union in Columbia.

Police were called to the NASA Federal Credit Union on Dobbin Road shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday. A caller said the ATM's card scanner appeared suspicious and had come loose from the machine.

Police say the device is a replica of ATM's scanner. A small camera and memory card were also removed from the machine.

Authorities are urging customers who bank at NASA Federal Credit Union to monitor their financial accounts for signings of fraudulent transactions.
