Silver Spring Man Arrested With Gun at BWI

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ)-- A Montgomery County man was arrested at Baltimore Washington International-Thurgood Marshall Airport Wednesday for attempting to bring a loaded semi-automatic handgun onto an airplane, according to the Transportation Security Administration.

The .22 caliber handgun was loaded with nine bullets. TSA officers discovered the gun at one of the airport checkpoints. TSA officers contacted the Maryland Transportation Authority Police, who confiscated the gun and arrested the man on state weapons charges. The man is a Silver Spring resident and said he forgot he had the gun with him.
