Shop Owner Foils Robbery With Shotgun

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County police say a jewelry store owner foiled a robbery by confronting an armed intruder with his own gun.

It happened about 11:25 a.m. Tuesday at the Adore Jewelry store in Annapolis. Police say two men entered the store and one pulled a handgun from his waistband.

Officers say the store's owner got his shotgun and confronted the armed man. Both would-be robbers left the store and fled in a car.

No one was injured.
