Official: Person Overdoses Near Sinai Hospital

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Officials say a person overdosed near Sinai Hospital in Baltimore on Thursday, leading to a large response from police and fire crews.

Baltimore Police officers were at the scene on Lanier Avenue investigating what was believed to be a reported shooting. However, a Sinai Hospital spokesperson told WJZ Thursday night that there was no shooting.

Chopper 13 was above the scene, and a car could be seen with its windows broken.

Hospital officials say the car's windows were broken in order to extract the person who was inside.

The person's condition has not yet been released.
