Sheppard Pratt Worker, Husband Indicted On $2.5M Mail Fraud

BALTIMORE (AP) -- The director of patient records at Sheppard Pratt Health Systems and her husband have been indicted on charges of fraudulently billing Sheppard Pratt for $2.5 million.

Forty-nine-year-old Lyneth Nyabiosi and her husband, 53-year-old Willie Evans III, were arrested Thursday after the 8-count indictment was unsealed. Nyabiosi and Evans are residents of Bear, Delaware.

According to the indictment, Nyabiosi was the director of the health information management department of Sheppard Pratt, which offers mental health, substance use and special education services.

Prosecutors say Nyabiosi signed a contract with Sheppard Pratt and a company called Information Management Solutions Technology. Authorities say Nyabiosi and Evans controlled the company, and submitted more than 150 false invoices to Sheppard Pratt totaling $2.5 million.
