SHA: Major Delays Expected On Reisterstown Road For 6 Weeks

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (WJZ) -- The State Highway Administration announced Thursday it would be shutting down lanes on Reisterstown Road (MD 140) for six weeks, while it replaces a deteriorated culvert.

The work will begin Thursday, Sept. 24 around 10 p.m. just south of Painters Mill Road in Owings Mills. Two lanes on a one-half mile sections of Reisterstown Road between Painters Mills Road and St. Thomas Lane will be closed.

The closure will be in effect for six weeks, 24 hours a day.

Motorists can expect one lane to be open in each directions for this span of the roadway.

SHA is urging drivers to plan for extra travel time and to use alternate routes like I-795 or I-695 for trips between Owings Mills and Pikesville.
