Horses Rescued After Collapse Pins Them Under Barn Roof

POOLESVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- All the horses have been rescued after a roof collapsed on a Poolesville barn in Montgomery County.

It happened at 3 p.m. Saturday in the 15000 block of Sugarland Road in Poolesville.

Fire officials say part of a barn collapsed, pinning several horses under debris -- a total of 35 horses have been displaced.

Twelve have been extracted and one or two are in need of medical attention.

No civilian injuries have been reported.
