Charter Bus Overturns In Weather-Related Accident, Injures 12
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police say 12 people were taken to the hospital after a serious crash on US-15 in Frederick County Wednesday morning.
Maryland State Police reports the crash happened just before 7:50 a.m. on US-15, at Biggs Ford Rd.
A Chevrolet Silverado headed south on US-15 reportedly lost control and slid across the median into northbound traffic.
The Silverado was then struck by a Ford passenger van, which had 10 people inside.
"There was luggage everywhere," said Casey Schairer, who saw the aftermath of the crash. "The vehicles were almost unrecognizable. I honestly didn't know if people would make it out."

Schairer says that stretch of highway north of Frederick is notorious for accidents, "Take your time, slow down."
The two people in the Silverado were transported to a hospital, along with the 10 occupants of the passenger van.
"The investigators say weather was a factor," said Sgt. DaVaughn Parker with Maryland State Police.
He said the pickup driver has been charged with "failing to reduce speed."
US-15 northbound is currently closed while authorities investigate. One lane of southbound US-15 is open for traffic.
