School Police Officer Charged With Assaulting 3 Students

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Prosecutors in Baltimore say a grand jury has indicted a city school police officer, charging her with assaulting three middle school students.

The State's Attorney's Office announced that Lakisha Pulley was indicted Monday in the incident that occurred at Vanguard Collegiate Middle School in October.

Prosecutors say surveillance video shows an altercation between Pulley and three female students. Pulley is charged with one count of first-degree assault, three counts of second-degree assault and three counts of reckless endangerment. The city police union calls Pulley's action a reasonable use of force.

Pulley was also indicted on felony theft charges. Prosecutors say she took goods intended for the school to her personal vehicle in November.

Pulley is suspended without pay and barred from school property.
