Pedestrian Struck By School Bus; No Injuries Reported

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Howard County Police Department is investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a school bus Monday afternoon.

Police were called about the accident at 2:50 p.m., near the intersection of Oakland Mills Road and Homespun Drive in Columbia.

Responding officers found a 25-year-old woman who had been struck by a school bus while crossing the street.

The woman was checked by paramedics at the scene, but she didn't want to be taken to a hospital.

There were five children from Cradlerock Elementary School on the bus at the time of the accident, but no one on the bus was injured, and the students were released to their parents.

Police are still investigating to determine the cause of the wreck.
