Ron Cook Of The Pittsburgh Post Gazette Previews Ravens Vs Steelers

Ron Cook is a reporter for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that covers the Steelers.

Ron joined Ed and Steve to talk about this Sunday's match-up between the Ravens and Steelers in Baltimore.

Steve asked Ron about both the Ravens and Steelers not having a single defensive player named to the Pro Bowl. Ron acknowledged that both teams are going thru a change in identity, "its a great observation. The Steelers only have one player that deserved to get in on defense and that is defensive end Cam Heyward. They have been a bend but don't break defense, but with how good their offense is all they have to be is mediocre."

Ed asked Ron about the great production of the Steelers offense over the last few weeks. Ron noted that injuries have played a big role in their production this year, "we knew coming in that they would be great offensively. But then they took some huge hits losing their center, left tackle and running back Le'Veon Bell. What they have going is pretty special. They are going to have to go thru New England and they usually don't play well there."

Ron went on to discuss his grievances with the NFL, his thoughts on teams that win their division with a sub-.500 record, and the impact of the Arizona Cardinals losing defensive back Tyrann Mathieu to injury for the rest of the season.
