"Rock One Sock" Campaign Supports Missing Children

BALTIMORE (WJZ) - WJZ is joining the "Rock One Sock" campaign as a way to support National Missing Children's Day.

WJZ's morning crew showed off their spectacular socks all  morning long on air and on social media.

CBS and The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children have started the effort to raise awareness of the thousands of children that go missing every year. According to the FBI, there were over 450,000 reports of missing children in the United States last year.

You can join the campaign by wearing one sock and taking a photo or video of it. You are encouraged to then post those pictures on social media using the hashtag #RockOneSock, and follow @MissingKids on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

You can also donate to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children by going to their website at www.rockonesock.org.
