Roch Kubatko With An Orioles Road Trip Update

Roch Kubatko covers the Orioles and writes a blog for MASN.

Roch joined Ed and Steve to talk about the Orioles road trip.

Steve asked Roch about who he thinks the Orioles might be able to turn to from our farm system to help our starting rotation which continues to struggle this season. Roch doesn't think there is a good choice for a call up, saying "the guys right now pitching in Norfolk have been a patch work. I asked people in the organization and there doesn't seem to be an ideal choice to help this rotation in a pennant race."

Ed asked Roch if he thinks manager Buck Showalter is frustrated at all with the lack of consistency throughout the season. Roch believes Buck is a bit frustrated but that he won't express that through the media, "I'm sure there's some frustration throughout the club, but that's just not who they are. I think Buck's trying to maintain an air of calmness. If he sees things he doesn't like he'll pull guys aside. He's not going to air anyone out publicly."

Roch went on to discuss the priorities for the Orioles this off-season, as well as updating the Dylan Bundy and Hunter Harvey injuries as they both return to pitching for the first time this season.
