Robert Carter Jr. Officially Joins Golden State Warriors Roster

Baltimore (WJZ) -- Former Maryland Terps Forward Robert Carter Jr. has officially joined the Golden State Warriors Summer League Roster, the organization announced Friday.  He'll make his NBA debut at the Las Vegas Summer League on July 9th against the San Antonio Spurs.

Robert Carter Jr. scored in double figures in 25 games and averaged 12.3 points and a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game. Carter helped lead the Maryland Terrapins to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament earlier this year before declaring for the NBA Draft.

Carter has the athletic ability necessary to cover guards as well as the strength to handle big men in the post. That skillset is hard to come by in the NBA and could be why the 6'9" decided to leave Maryland early and take his chances in the pro level. Carter joins Diamond Stone as Terps who've made it on an NBA Summer League Roster.
