Rob Long: Taking Care Of Business

Without Haloti Ngata, the Baltimore Ravens traveled to Miami and took care of business to keep pace in the AFC Playoff picture. The Ravens trailed early in this one but settled down to dominate the Dolphins after facing a 10-0 deficit in the first quarter.

Running back Justin Forsett battled through a knee injury that sidelined him throughout the week to lead the team with 13 carries and 71 with a touchdown. Forsett had a big 44 yard gain during a seven play, 81 yard drive that gave the Ravens a nice cushion.

Meanwhile, Joe Flacco was well, Joe Flacco. He was 25-33 with 269 yard and two touchdowns. Is it me or has it gotten to where anything under 280 plus for him is "ho-hum"? That's not an insult, that's a compliment. I EXPECT that kind of performance from Joe Flacco.

The defense, led by Elvis Dumervil, played spectacular. Elvis had 3 1/2 of the teams six sack. Ryan Tannehill had a tough time finding any rhythm and Lamar Miller had very little success in the second half. Sunday was a total team effort that kept the team in the hunt. Good win guys.
