Firefighters Rescue A Dog From A Sinkhole

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A collie was saved from a sinkhole by Anne Arundel County and Annapolis firefighters Saturday.

The dog fell into a sinkhole in Woodland Beach.

Firefighters received the call shortly before noon, reporting that the 85-pound dog was stuck six feet down a hole measuring approximately two feet by two feet in the 2000 block of Shore Drive.

Members of the Special Operations Confined Space Rescue Team successfully removed dog in about 90 minutes. It did not appear injured.
