Students Being Shot At With BB Gun At UMD College Park, Officials Say
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- University of Maryland, College Park Police released an alert this evening, saying that there were two incidences of people being shot at with a BB gun from a vehicle.
University of Maryland Police say the two incidents happened around 7:30 p.m. One occurring on Paint Branch Drive by Lot 11B, and another by Maryland Stadium by Ellicott Dining Hall.
Sgt. Rosanne Hoaas told our news partner The Baltimore Sun that no one was injured. UMPD sent a warning to students and other campus members through its emergency alert system saying that the car involved was a two or four-door dark colored vehicle.
No other incidents have been reported since.
Police suggest anyone on campus who comes in contact with the suspect vehicle should dial 911 immediately.
