Reminder: You Have Until Tuesday To Register To Vote In Maryland
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- If you haven't registered to vote in Maryland yet, you might want to get moving.
Marylanders only have until Tuesday to register or update/confirm their voter registration information for the state.
The deadline to register to vote is October 13.
"Don't wait; plan your vote today," Gov. Larry Hogan urged Marylanders in a video message.
"No matter how you choose to vote in the 2020 general election, we are encouraging everyone to do it in the safest way possible," he added.
Voters in Maryland can still register to vote during in-person early voting and on Election Day.
"We really encourage voters who have not yet registered to vote, to go ahead and do that by tomorrow, so that when they go to vote, it's a much quicker process for them," Nikki Charlson, the deputy administrator of the Maryland State Board of Elections, said.
There will be 321 Election Day voting centers across the state, all of which are currently fully-staffed with poll workers.
Charlson said the state's plans are running smoothly ahead of the election.
And as another reminder, once you've registered, you have until October 20 to make sure the state has received your mail-in ballot application.
