Ray Rice Discusses Life Lessons With Ravens Rookies
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Ray Rice has returned to the Under Armour Performance Center, but this time it's not to play football. Rice is going to share life lessons to Ravens' rookies.
In a statement, the team said that they have 27 sessions planned with the rookies with people from all walks of life and experiences.
"Ray Rice, who played for the Ravens from 2008 until 2014, delivered an important message that included his story, both the good and the bad. He clearly had the attention of our rookies," the statement continued.
Rice was released by the Ravens in 2014 after he hit his then-fiancee Janay, in a casino elevator. He was initially suspended and then, when a video of the incident was released, he was let go. He has not been signed by another NFL team.
The Ravens have worked with local domestic violence groups, including the House of Ruth and One Love Foundation.
