Ravens Tackle Ronnie Stanley Out For The Season Days After He Signed 5-Year Contract Extension

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Ravens left tackle Ronnie Stanley is out for the season after an ankle injury during Sunday's game against the Steelers took him out of the game. Stanley was carted off the field with his ankle in an air cast.

He took a hit during the first quarter and remained on the ground in pain.

Stanley tweeted after the game: "So many emotions running thru my head. I'm thankful for all the love and support. I hate feeling like i let my brothers down. What I do know is God doesn't make mistakes and I'm grateful for the bad days just as much as the good. Just another challenge to overcome. Truzzz."

Just two days ago Stanley extended his contract with the Ravens for five more years.

Other players sent well wishes to Stanley.

Former Raven Torrey Smith tweeted he was praying for Stanley.

He's the second Raven to be injured during the rivalry matchup. Tyre Phillips is also questionable to return after an ankle injury.

Running back Mark Ingram is also on the bench during the Steelers game after he was injured during the Eagles game.
