Ravens Sign Veteran Cornerback Jerraud Powers From Cardinals
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Baltimore Ravens are still making moves to build their roster. Earlier today the team signed former Arizona Cardinals veteran cornerback Jerraud Powers to a one-year contract.
The 28-year-old, 5-foot-10 defender has started 82 of 87 career games in the NFL throughout his eight-year career. Powers finished the year with 52 tackles, an interception, nine passes defensed and a sack.
He will likely end up competing with Shareece Wright and Will Davis for the starting job opposite Jimmy Smith.
Congrats to my guy @JPowers25 on signing with @Ravens welcome back to the AFC. One of the smartest guys I've played with too.
