Ravens Quarterback Lamar Jackson Returns To The Practice Field

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (WJZ)-- Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson returned to the practice field on Saturday after being activated from the COVID-19 list.

Jackson hit the field in full pads and was throwing with teammates in the early morning practice session.

He shook hands with offensive coordinator Greg Roman and was wearing a blue mask underneath his visor.

The Ravens eased him back in after head coach John Harbaugh said he got "hit pretty hard with the symptoms."

It was mostly short throws and handoffs for Jackson.

On 7 on 7 and full teams, he went 12 for 20 with multiple drops. Even though it's Day 1 for the former MVP, the Ravens are well into camp.

"I thought he looked better than expected, coming off 10 days away. COVID is tough, and he had symptoms. It speaks to how well he took care of himself during that time. He came out and practiced well," Harbaugh said.

Jackson may have extra motivation to perform well in the next few days after Bills Quarterback Josh Allen signed a $258-million dollar extension Friday with $150 million guaranteed.

It was announced that Jackson tested positive for coronavirus on July 28. He last tested positive on Thanksgiving.
