Ravens QB Schaub Misses Practice, Expects To Play Sunday

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -- Ravens quarterback Matt Schaub was held out of practice to recover from a physical game in Miami.

Schaub was sacked three times in Baltimore's 15-13 loss to the Dolphins. He was nursing a sore knee and shoulder Wednesday, but expects to play Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

He says, "As a competitor you want to be out there. So I'm gearing all my mindset, everything, toward Sunday."

Schaub later added, "Right now we're just taking it day by day, hour by hour."

The 34-year-old Schaub became a starter two weeks ago after a season-ending injury to Joe Flacco.

Schaub was hit hard in a win over Cleveland and again in Miami. Coach John Harbaugh suggested it might be best for the quarterback to skip a practice or two this week.

Jimmy Clausen and Bryn Renner, signed to the practice squad on Wednesday, took snaps in practice.
