Ravens Injury Report: Timmy Jernigan Likely To Play Against Falcons

By Samuel Njoku

The Baltimore Ravens have found themselves in the middle of a nasty stretch of games where they'll play 4 out of 5 away from M&T Bank Stadium. Week 7 is the only time during their 5 game stretch where the Ravens will be laying at home. With the Atlanta Falcons coming to town, Baltimore has a chance to move to 5-2. That's if they can overcome a few key injuries in their roster.

The Ravens have really improved their pass rushing and run stopping over the past few weeks. What makes that feat all the more impressive is that they've done it without DE Chris Canty. The defensive lineman has dealt with a wrist injury that has sidelined him for a few weeks. He'll be out of action once again on Sunday. But as Baltimore has shown, they have more than enough talent to get the job done. There is good news along the defensive front as it looks as if Timmy Jernigan will return to action against the Falcons. He was out for an extended period of time but he looked good in practice this week and will most likely be a go for Sunday.

The left side of the Ravens offensive line is still lacking both of its starters as LT Eugene Monroe and LG Kelechi Osemele are doubtful with knee injuries.  James Hurst and John Urshel replaced the two last week and performed exceptionally in place of their teammates. Baltimore will look for them to duplicate their performance and keep Joe Flacco upright for the majority of the game.

S Will Hill who was suspended for Substance Abuse by the NFL is eligible to return to action on Sunday. The Ravens have until 4pm on Saturday to decide if he will be a go for the game. With the safety position being an Achilles Heel for the team, his return to action may be plausible even though it's been some time since he's been in live action.
