Ravens Cornerback Victor Hampton Arrested For DWI

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Ravens cornerback Victor Hampton was arrested on Saturday in Charlotte, NC, for driving while impaired, according to our media partner The Baltimore Sun.

According to the Ravens, Hampton has been waived from the roster.

Twenty-two year old Hampton was charged with speeding, reckless driving to endanger, and violating open container laws

According to CBS affiliate WBTV, he was driving 100 mph in a 55 mph zone on I-77 near Westinghouse Boulevard. Hampton was also not driving alone, police say two passengers in the vehicle were charged with carrying concealed weapons, open container, and possession of marijuana.

Hampton was released from the Mecklenburg County jail on $25,000 bail.

The Ravens signed Hampton to a reserve-future contract in January.

Police say he was in town for the CIAA tournament.
