Ravens Are Under Consideration To Play In London In 2017

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Baltimore Ravens could play their first game outside of the United States in 2017...at Wembley Stadium to be exact.

The NFL informed the Ravens  and owner Steve Bisciotti that the team is under consideration to play the Jacksonville Jaguars in London next season.

"I would absolutely love going to London," Bisciotti told season-ticket holders in a conference call last year. "I'm all for it. I think it would be a blast."

Final decisions on the teams have not been made. The Ravens are one of eight teams who have not played outside the country since the NFL introduced the International Series in 2007.

The NFL has agreements to play at least two games at Wembley Stadium each year through 2020 and will begin playing at least two games a year at the redeveloped White Hart Lane, the home of English Premier League club Tottenham, beginning in 2018.
