Radee Prince To Be Tried In Delaware Before Being Brought Back To Maryland

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Radee Prince, the man charged with shooting and killing three of his coworkers last week at an Edgewood granite business, will be tried in Delaware before being brought back to Maryland.

Prince, 37, was apprehended in Delaware after an hours-long manhunt on Oct. 18. But he faces more serious charges, including first and second degree murder, in Maryland.

He also faces assault and firearms charges, the Harford County Sheriff's Office says.

"My concern is that the General Assembly, ever since the repeal of the death penalty in this case, has done everything they can to attack long prison sentences and I'm not sure life without parole will still be there," said Harford County State's Attorney Joe Cassilly. "In 40 years as a prosecutor, I kind of given up on asking why people do horrible things."

If convicted Prince faces guaranteed life in prison without parole in Delaware for shooting a family friend there, after he opened fire on five coworkers in Edgewood Wednesday, killing three of them.

Prince's sisters described him as a ticking time bomb suffering from mental illness.
