Purple Friday Forecast

A cool and comfortable start to this Purple Friday. And while traditionally we're geared up for football in mid/late September, weather will cooperate for your post season Orioles attire this year.

Our average high and low are now 77 / 56 for this date and we're pretty much on target.

High pressure centered across Ontario will build into New England and overhead  through Saturday, directing cool NNE winds our way.

For the time being, we'll stay a tad bit under our norms.

The high moves off to the East by Sunday allowing warmer air to filter into the Mid-Atlantic.

A strong cold front will pass through the area Sunday night into Monday.

As the high weakens Saturday stays mostly sunny through the afternoon, but clouds increase by late weekend and there is shower or t-shower potential Sunday afternoon.

Warmer air ahead of an approaching cold front will provide enough instability that we cannot rule out Sunday afternoon precipitation. ..but will not washout your day's plans.

Look for high and low temps:  Friday 73 / 57, Saturday 79 / 60 and Sunday 84 / 58.
