Prince George's Officer Suspended For Theft Charge

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- A Prince George's County police officer has been suspended after being charged with theft in Anne Arundel County.

The Prince George's County police department said Saturday the officer was suspended after being charged Friday. The officer was off duty at the time of the alleged theft. Details of the alleged theft were not immediately released.

Police say the officer has been employed by the police department for four years.
