Prince George's County Officers To Be Honored

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- More than a dozen police officers in Prince George's County are set to be honored with valor awards.

The officers are being recognized Wednesday for their actions during various incidents last year. They include disarming a man who had just fatally shot someone, firing at a gunman who had killed his own 3-year-old daughter, and stopping a knife-wielding suspect.

The awards ceremony will be held in Greenbelt. It's the 38th year the department has given out the valor awards.
