Preakness Will Return As Second Jewel Of The Triple Crown, Maryland Jockey Club Says

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Preakness is returning to its normal place in the Triple Crown lineup.

The Maryland Jockey Club says the race will return to its traditional third Saturday in May.

The 145th running of the race was moved to October 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic and was the final race in the Triple Crown.

The Maryland Jockey Club has not yet announced whether any fans will be allowed to watch the race in the stands this year.
