Power Outage On Bay Bridge Causes Holiday Traffic Headache

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--Drivers heading over the Bay Bridge this holiday weekend spent a good amount of time in traffic today.

State transportation officials say an overnight power outage prevented them from opening two-way travel, which caused major congestion.

At one point the backup was 8 miles long.

Official say the power issue was resolved just after 6:00 p.m. Saturday and two-way operations resumed on the Bay Bridge.
