Winter Weather Advisory; Possible Freezing Rain

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Winter Weather Advisory went into effect at 3 a.m. Wednesday for most of central Maryland, including Baltimore.

Baltimore's advisory lasts until 10 a.m. but in the northernmost parts of Maryland, the advisory lasts through the early afternoon, according to WJZ's Bob Turk.

Those areas are expecting one to two inches of snow, while Baltimore and areas south are expecting a trace to an inch of snow.

But the futurecast shows that other types of precipitation, including sleet and freezing rain, will mix in with the snow at some point.

Around 6 a.m. Wednesday, Bob says it looks like Baltimore will start seeing a mix rather than plain snow and plain rain at 10 a.m.
