Poll: Clinton's Lead Grows On Eve of Final Presidential Debate

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--The countdown is on to tomorrow's third and final presidential debate and our new CBS poll paints a different picture of how the candidates' stand with voters.

Hillary Clinton has stretched her lead in two weeks since our previous poll, giving the Democrat a nine-point lead over Donald Trump: 47 to 38 percent.

The new poll was taken before the release of FBI documents related to Clinton's e-mail scandal--in particular an interview with an FBI employee who says he felt pressured to change a classified email to unclassified. In exchange, the State Department would allow the FBI to place more agents in countries where they are presently forbidden.

The State Department says nothing happened.

"Hillary Clinton is the most corrupt person ever to run for the presidency of the United States," said Trump.

But Trump's comments about women in a video released before the debate has influenced his standing.

Forty-percent of voters now think worse of Trump and a majority believe his comments reflect his current attitude toward women.

Only about a third of voters say they have a favorable opinion of either candidate and that's with 70 percent of Democrats and Republicans saying they're paying a lot of attention.

Our CBS poll shows 90% of voters have made up their minds, 9% might change their minds, and 1% don't know who they will vote for.

The poll has a 3% margin of error.
