Police: West Fayette Shooting Sends Man, 34, To Hospital In Critical Condition

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- The sound of gunfire late Tuesday night led a patrol officer on West Lanvale Street to a 34-year-old shooting victim clinging to life a block away, authorities said.

The officer was patrolling near where West Lanvale and North Dukeland streets meet about 11:40 p.m. when he heard several gunshots ring out, according to police.

He found the unidentified victim in the 2800 block of West Fayette Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim was rushed to an area hospital where at last check he was in critical condition.
