Police: Two Men Killed In Pair Of Overnight Shootings
BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- Two men were killed in separate shootings less than an hour apart in late Monday night, adding to the death toll in what's quickly turning into a violent week in Baltimore, according to police.
Patrol officers responding to a reported shooting in West Baltimore before 11 p.m. found a 52-year-old man shot in the head inside a vehicle parked in the 800 block of Ashburton Street, police said. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
A second shooting reported in Northeast Baltimore about 11:30 p.m. brought officers to the 5400 block of Purdue Avenue. That's where they found an unidentified man shot multiple times in the neck and chest, who was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Nearly a dozen people were shot, three of them fatally, in a series of shootings across the city Sunday night, according to police.
