2 Men Killed In String Of Shootings
BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- Authorities say two men were killed in separate shootings a few miles away from each other just hours apart overnight.
About 10:30 p.m., officers were called to the 1400 block of Myrtle Avenue where they discovered Deallen Jones, 36, of Brighton Street, lying in the grass with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body. Paramedics rushed Jones to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Then just before 1 a.m., detectives responding to a reported shooting in the 2500 block of Jefferson Street found a 44-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso inside a crashed car. That victim was taken to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
Investigators suspect someone approached that victim and shot him several times before taking off.
Those shootings followed another shooting in the 1400 block of East Fayette Street after 7 p.m. that sent a 23-year-old man to Johns Hopkins Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, later identified as Demetrius Little, did not survive.
Police are looking for at least two suspects in connection to that shooting.
