Police: Suspects Wanted For Allegedly Assaulting 72-Year-Old Man On MTA Bus

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The MDOT MTA Police are looking to identify several suspects in an assault on a bus.

Police say the incident happened back on March 19 while the bus was stopped in the 2500 block of E. Fayette Street.

According to a police report, the suspects were upset with the 72-year-old victim for coughing on the bus. Two women kept yelling at the man, at which point another man got involved.

The victim stood up as if he were trying to separate himself from the suspects at which point the man pushed him to the floor face first, the report said.

The three suspects got off the bus and fled east on Fayette Street.

Due to the severity of the victim's injuries, homicide detectives also investigated the crime.

Anyone with information about this incident or the suspects' identities is asked to contact police immediately.
