Police Seeking Public's Help To Solve Deadly Beating Of Man

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police are seeking the public's help in solving the deadly beating of a 60-year-old man outside of his home.

Police say Bradley Colmes was assaulted the night of June 12 while walking outside his home in Montgomery Village. Officers say Colmes suffered head and facial injuries, including a shattered jaw, from the attack. He was taken to a hospital where police say he died on June 17.

The medical examiner ruled his death a homicide.

Police have not identified a motive in the attack.

On Tuesday, police said they believe roughly 20 people witnessed Colmes' beating. Officers have canvassed Colmes' neighborhood, passing out flyers about the attack.

Police say no one has come forward yet.

The investigation is ongoing.
