Police Seek Suspect Who Vandalized Multiple Washington Memorials

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The United States Park Police has released a picture of a man accused of vandalism at memorials along the National Mall.

The vandalism was at the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, and D.C. War Memorial.

Authorities say the graffiti appears to have been done with permanent marker. There are several lines of similar text left at each memorial.

There has also been similar vandalism found on street signs and utility boxes at other locations along the National Mall.

The graffiti has been removed from the memorials.

Anyone with information is asked to call the United States Park Police at (202) 426-6710, and ask to speak to a Crime Patrol Unit officer, or call the anonymous Tipline at 202-610-8737
