Police Seek Harford County Bank Robbery Suspect

HARFORD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- The Harford County Sheriff's office is seeking a suspect in connection with a bank robbery that happened early Wednesday afternoon in Abingdon.

The suspect entered the Har-Co Credit Union shortly before 2 p.m. and approached a teller. The suspect said he was armed, demanded cash and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Detectives arrived on the bank, located on the 3400 block of Emmorton Road in Abingdon, but were unable to find the suspect.

The suspect is a black male in his late 30s, approximately 5-foot 8-inches tall weighing 180 pounds. His face was covered and he was wearing a dark jacket and dark pants at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information should call the police at 410-836-5043. Officials are offering a cash reward up to $2000 and the option to remain anonymous.
