Police No Longer Searching For 6-Year-Old and Mother

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- UPDATE: Police say Shawntia Smith and her 6-year old daughter, Jamie Howard, have been found safe.

Baltimore Police Department are searching for a missing six year old girl and her mother.

Officials say 27-year old Shawntia Smith and her 6-year old daughter Jamie Howard were last seen on April 16th at around 2:00 p.m., near the intersection of North Avenue and Greenmount Avenue.

Family members say Shawntia is homeless.

Shawntia was last seen wearing blue jeans and green shoes, while Jamie was seen wearing the dress seen in the picture.
